Client Notes
Create a speculative mass timber office building that is unique in the region as well as in the larger development it is part of - a building that exemplifies all the best qualities of West Coast urban living and appeals directly to tech and creative firms and the quality of life their employees value. Make it something beautiful and special.
Designer Notes
The cross-laminated timber structure is a rare sight in this region, and the design seeks to showcase the beauty and warmth of the wood both inside and out. The "glass wrapper" exterior provides a nearly uninhibited, transparent view of the structure while maximizing occupants access to daylight and views, and fostering connection from the indoor workspaces to the nearby park and bustling neighborhood. The building is sustainably designed to achieve LEED Gold.
