Client Notes
Transform an empty lot in a developing neighborhood into an active, walkable mixed-use hub and invite the neighborhood in. Provide a mix of housing, commercial office, retail, and restaurant space with a shared plaza and outdoor amenities.
Designer Notes
Grove's use of natural materials is inspired by the high desert landscape and the lodge-like flavor of the architecture in this bustling Bend neighborhood. The dramatic slopes of the market hall, with full-height windows, recall the spaciousness of an outdoor covered market and provide an all-season dining and retail venue that spills into the public plaza and creates vibrant, open social spaces that blend indoor and outdoor.
