Chris Hodney

LEED AP
Principal

A design leader at Hacker, Chris believes innovation and sustainability are integral to uplifting the lives of individuals and their communities. He strives for high-quality design for all, not just those persons able to commission. His values are prevalent in numerous mixed-use and multi-family Hacker projects, such as Hacker’s 2015 AIA Portland Merit Award-winning Courtyard Housing, where he forged himself as an integral team member.

Driving Chris’s career in architecture is his passion and interest in urban planning. He recognizes the value of strong urban design guidelines and is particularly interested in the way housing shapes neighborhoods. Urban housing – in Portland particularly – excites Chris.

Chris has a positive influence on Hacker planning, design, and construction detailing, and aspires to create mass timber housing projects, especially in locations where net-zero and carbon neutral mandates take effect in Washington and California.
