Client Notes
Create a good, successful experience for all students regardless of their interest or skill in sports. Transform an aging gymnasium building into a vibrant new athletics facility to support varsity team sports and physical education classes. Provide an inspiring, comfortable space to accommodate all-school assemblies, events, and gatherings.
Designer Notes
The design centers a reclamation of underutilized spaces, replacing facilities like showers and locker rooms with flexible, all-purpose team rooms that keep athletes and coaches together and make coaching and team-building for mixed-gender teams easier to achieve. The Athletic Center is home to varsity sports and P.E. classes, but it is also designed for all-day use as a hub for activities and gatherings.
